Bangkok (October 19, 2025) – Construction has officially begun on EMD BKK-01, PentaPoint’s first AI-Ready Edge Data Center, located in the heart of Sathorn, Bangkok’s leading business district. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in January 2026.
Developed in collaboration with AIMS Data Center, one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most respected data center operators, EMD BKK-01 represents Thailand’s first modular, AI-Ready Tier 3+ Edge Data Center built within an existing office tower. The partnership allows PentaPoint to leverage AIMS’s advanced infrastructure, operations expertise, and regional network, ensuring world-class reliability, scalability, and security standards.
In addition to the 800 kW capacity now under development, PentaPoint and AIMS are in discussion to jointly expand the project by an additional 6 MW within the same building. This expansion aims to address growing enterprise demand for AI-driven, high-density computing infrastructure in Bangkok’s urban core.
The launch of EMD BKK-01 marks a major milestone for PentaPoint’s “Urban Edge Grid” strategy, which focuses on delivering next-generation, low-latency data infrastructure in central business districts across Asia.
